Features included a modern "C" shaped neck with 22 medium jumbo frets, Fender-branded Schaller® tuning machines with staggered post heights for better string tension, a 2-point synchronized tremolo with stainless steel saddles, and three American Series single-coil pickups. The model was replaced by the American Standard series in 2009.
